About Me
Hi, I’m Ryan. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), and I’m passionate about helping people navigate the challenges that life brings.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are dealing with significant life events that disrupt their daily functioning. Whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, substance use, or navigating identity and life transitions, I’m here to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered.
My therapeutic approach is compassionate, energetic, and person-centered. I integrate trauma-informed care into my work and strive to create a safe space where you can build on your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful goals.
I have experience supporting individuals with concerns including:
Depression and anxiety
Post-traumatic stress (PTSD)
Substance use and recovery
Work-related stress
Social fears and isolation
Grief and loss
Anger and emotional regulation
Relationship challenges
LGBTQ+ identity and life experiences
Trauma-Focused Therapy & Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
I’m trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a modality that uses imagery and eye movements to help clients process trauma and other distressing experiences more quickly and effectively. ART can support rapid healing from events that may otherwise take years to process.
My Background
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling and my Master's in Addiction Counseling from the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School. Before working in outpatient mental health, I gained valuable experience in clinical program development and working with diverse populations—experiences that helped shape my flexible and inclusive therapeutic approach.
Outside the Office
Self-care is important to me, and I recharge by spending time with my family and our two dogs. We love getting outdoors together—whether we’re playing in the yard, going to the lake, or just out for a walk. Being in nature is grounding and restorative, and I often encourage clients to explore what helps them reconnect to themselves, too.
